Intro! Who is Sterbo708??

So first thing's first! I want to be able to share my love for video games with everyone who has a passion for video games, or even those without passion but want to know more about them. However, I can't even begin to talk about it until I talk to you about the gamer known as Sterbo708. How did I start playing video games? What games made me the gamer that I am today? How in the world did I choose Sterbo708?
Number 1: Starting as the worst
Without going too much into detail, I used to be horrible at video games. I mean granted...I started playing when I was almost 4, so cut me some slack. But still...I was bad. I really have my older siblings to thank because they were the ones that got me into video games. Growing up, the game of choice was Street Fighter 2. They would always have tournaments at my grandmother's house, invite friends over, and have a lot of fun. I always used to watch from the sidelines because I'm the youngest, and whenever it was my turn, I would just enjoy my 10 seconds of fame before they crushed my soul. However, I'm a lot better now! But that's one of the basic starting points of my gaming life.
Number 2: Fastest/Scariest thing alive
Throughout this journey, you will come to learn that I love Sonic the Hedgehog. Whether it be one of the 15 shirts that I own (3 retired), the references, the comments people leave, or the co-hosts that talk, everyone knows of my love for Sonic The Hedgehog. However, I used to be afraid of Sonic the Hedgehog because of the Death Egg Zone in Sonic 2. As a kid, hearing that music was one of the most terrifying things I've heard. Also, you had to do the entire stage with ZERO RINGS!!! That by itself is scary. However, I eventually overcame my fear, and the rest is history. Number 3: The Birth of Sterbo708
So Sterbo (Stir-Bow if I'm typing this out correctly) is a name given to me by my cousins and my brothers, which is why it's part of who I am. It has been stuck to me since I can remember, and everyone from childhood friends, people at church, and people who just get to know me call me Sterbo. The 708, however, is something random. 7 is of course my favorite number (7 emeralds in Sonic the Hedgehog, 7 Dragon Balls, born in the 7th month of the year). 08 however, is the year that I actually graduated high school. I remember the rise of online gaming, and I didn't have an ID at the time. I actually used to be worried about it a lot, but eventually I had to cave and get one since it was the new thing. My dad was actually the one who convinced me to do it! I figured I would combine everything together, and Sterbo708 was born. I use this ID from anything ranging to video games (Playstation ID), as well as for my Soundcloud where I make video game music, Instagram, Twitter, etc. It's who I am!
To end it all, thanks for reading about my beginnings. It wasn't a lot, and I didn't wanna put everything out there from the start. You'll get to know a lot about me in the days to come, but I wanted you to have a foundation of who I was before diving in and listening to a guy who has a primary interest in video games. You'll get to know my other interests more, like music and sports, but primarily I'm all about video games :)
